I am thrilled to see the launch of Fortune Korea’s first-ever Most Powerful Women list, an important milestone in the global expansion of one of Fortune’s most celebrated and influential franchises. Since its inception more than two decades ago, the Most Powerful Women franchise has championed the extraordinary achievements of female leaders who are reshaping industries, societies, and the global economy.

The debut of this list in Korea reflects the country’s dynamic leadership landscape, where women are driving growth in sectors ranging from technology and retail to consumer goods and innovation. From leaders building family-led multi-generational enterprises to founders creating global companies in a single generation, these women are redefining what leadership looks like in Korea and beyond.

I’d like to congratulate Editor in Chief Chris Yoo and the Fortune Korea team on introducing the Most Powerful Women list in Korea and for their commitment to spotlighting the leaders who are shaping the country’s—and the world’s—future.
